Updates, updates, and more updates

We’ve gotten some great feedback over the last few months and have put a lot of work into planning and improving your Adogo experience. Here are a few of the things that we’ve added:

Planned out all meeting topics until February in the Google Calendar
Starting sending invitations from Google Calendar to all Google Discussion Group members
Updated the “Meetings” page to actually have information about our meeting time and place.
Added a link to the Adogo Jobs Google Group under Resources

We’ve also got some great deals in the works with book publishers (APress and O’Reilly) which should get our group some great discounts as well as some great give aways for meetings. In addition to all of these items, our jobs group is really picking up. There are already 2 new posts for this month, so if you’re in the market for work, check it out. Also, if you’re not signed up for the Adogo Discussion Group, please sign up so you can get monthly meeting reminders and join our community.

Adogo Desktop Backgrounds Contributed

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Jason Muscarella for producing a desktop background (in a variety of sizes) for us using the Adogo logo. You can download the file from the About page in a zip format. Jason is also the creator of the Adogo logo so he’s helped us out quite a bit. Thanks Jason and keep up the good work!

Site Updates for August

We’ve added a new page to the site to catalog all of our meetings and their associated resources. We’ve also added a new widget to the sidebar to show the date for the next meeting and its topics. Finally, we updated the resources for August to include the Connect recording, source code, and additional links that were referred to during the meeting. If we missed anything from the list, let us know and we’ll update as soon as possible.

New Poll : Flex Frameworks

In preparation for our coming month’s topics, we’d like to know which Flex frameworks have piqued your interest recently? We’ve added a new poll on the site and we’d love to hear your feedback. We’ve listed Cairngorm, ARP, PureMVC, and Model-Glue : Flex. I couldn’t remember them all but if anyone knows of a popular framework I’ve missed, let me know and we’ll add it to the list.

We’ve had a few speakers come forward to talk about these frameworks, so there are definitely great things to come. As always, stay tuned.
