Adogo, short for Adobe Developers of Greater Orlando is an Adobe usergroup focused around Adobe developers. Our focus will be entirely on the programming side of Adobe, so don’t come expecting much if anything visual.

Where and When

Meetings are planned for the first Monday of every month at 7:00pm to be held at the Devry University at Millenia. Meetings are scheduled for a 2 hour time slot, but if they ever run over or under it’s not a big deal since we’ll have the space for the evening. Check out our Google Calendar for all schedule meetings and eventually topics.

Meeting Format

Based on the discussion at the initial meeting, we have a few ideas for how meetings should proceed. Loosely, the ideas discussed include:

• Meetings should last 1-2 hours but not longer.
• There will usually be some combination of two speakers presenting on short topics, or one long topic being presented by a single speaker.
• Topics could come in some combination of easy and more difficult with an attempt to not limit all topics to one end of the spectrum.
• Two weeks prior to each meeting, each presenter will write up a “primer” on what their talk will be about and what assumed knowledge the audience should have. Our goal is to rely a realistic expectation the group and enable the presentations to potentially bypass the basics and skip right into the meat of a topic. Primers shouldn’t be more than a few paragraphs in length and will presented in the form of a blog post.

Help Out!

We need all the help we can get to make this group work. Adobe groups in Orlando seem to have an unlucky reputation that we’re hoping to dissolve. If you’re wanting to help out right away, here’s a few things you can do.

• Get Others to Join Up! The more people the better.
• Give a Talk. Giving a talk on a subject is one of the best ways to learn more about it, or share that knowledge. If you’d be interested in giving a talk, fill out the contact form with your information, a description of the talk and when you’d be able to present it.

Spread the Word
