For those of you whom didn’t get a chance to attend the August Adogo meeting, I announced the creation of a new user group for the Brevard area, Rich ApplicatioN Developers of Melbourne (RAnDOM). A few of us got together and formed the group in an effort to create a place for developers to gather and cooperatively code. Our meetings are going to focus on programming using technologies such as AJAX, Flex, AIR, Silverlight, and whatever we can get our hands that provides a rich user experience for web-based applications. Initially, we won’t be having presentations, but as we grow, we may add them.

Our first meeting will be Thursday, August 28th, at 7:00 PM @ Goombay’s, a local restaurant in Satellite Beach on A1A. Our first topic will be “Creating Mash-ups using the Basics”. Check out the blog for more details on what you’ll need if you’d like to come out. We should be Tropical Storm Fay free by that time, but please RSVP just so we can give Goombay’s a heads up. If we have to reschedule, we will post to the blog.

If you’re interested in driving out to the coast, come and join us for a cold beer and some code.

NOTE: We’ve rescheduled to 08/28 per the above due to TS Fay.
