I’d like to thank everyone who came out yesterday to attend our first Adogo meeting. We have a great turn-out at a strong 27 attendees. Adam and Max did a great job presenting, so thank you guys for taking the time and effort to make last night’s meeting a success. Also, thanks again to Stratus Technology Services for sponsoring the meeting and providing some great food from Bear Rock Cafe.
So now we need to hear from you. What did you think of last night’s meeting? Was it too long? Did the topics interest you? What did you like? What would you change? Please leave us your comments. Your feedback means a lot to us and is a great way for us to grow.
Thanks again to everyone for their support. Keep an eye out for further updates about our next meeting.

08|Aug|2007 1IMHO:
. Duration, topics, quality of presentations were perfect. I especially liked how the BoF turned out. The comments and discussions were really great and it’s always interesting to hear about how the various techs are being used “in the wild”.
. Sponsors were reasonably unintrusive
. Devry was great EXCEPT that it was hard to read the screen at times. Not that the text was too small, but rather the contrast…or something. In any case there’s probably not much that can be done about it, but future presenters may want to keep it in mind.

08|Aug|2007 2Not sure if there’s rules about this from Adobe or what not but just throwing it out there.
In regards to funding for equipment etc. I’d suggest putting up a PayPal account that the members can donate to as they deem fit. It sounded like the financial need was small so should be pretty bearable – and purely voluntary of course.
As for a logo – I believe (or I’m delusional either is possible) one of the first CF logos was a fist with lightning bolts – you could tie in the CF factor, imply “Flex” with the fist, and add some Adogo lettering somewhere.

08|Aug|2007 3Very cool! Looking forward to future meetings, especially the Flex frameworks… though I can tolerate the ColdFusion stuff as well…
I agree with Joe that the BOF was excellent. I would like that to be a regular meeting feature, at least until and unless we run out of things to talk about.

09|Aug|2007 4Hey guys,
I liked meeting, most definitely the community feel and openness of conversation.
It’s great to see so many people show up for an inaugural meeting; this proofs that this is a great service for the Central Florida Adobe Crowd.
I would, perhaps, like to add a networking, help each other aspect to meets. I understand it is unfair to demand so much time of people; maybe a ’sometimes’ series where developers can mingle and bounce ideas back and forth. I know but a few of the members and there is a great spread of skills that can be a good resource to each other.
Lastly, if I can add to the topics wish list a session with Peter Armstrong, the guy who’s writing ‘Flexible Rails’.
Ah, lastly; it would be nice to explore ways in which to grow this group. Really cool stuff…
