Flex and ColdFusion Applications the Easy Way with Coldspring, by Adam Fortuna. This presentation will go into the basics of integrating Flex with ColdFusion as well as how to utilize the remote proxy features of Coldspring with Flex. The talk will go into the basic design decisions faced in building Coldspring powered applications that can be utilized by Flex and ColdFusion interfaces.

Rich Internet Applications Birds of a Feather. In this group discussion we will go over some of the major complaints and concerns people have when working with Rich Internet Applications. Bring your questions and concerns to the table and get answers from the group at this BOF.

Each talk will be around 45 minutes, but the BOF will last as long as people are interested. In the coming week we’ll be posting the primer for this meeting; what should be read over before attending the talk. For those who haven’t heard about the primers, the idea is simple. A few weeks before the presentation, the presenter will write a post detailing what knowledge members should know before watching the presentation. The idea is that the presenter can jump right into the meat of their presentation rather than spending 30 minutes introducing topics like “What’s a framework” or “What is MVC”. The primer will be more than just a list of topics though, it will be an introduction to these topics with link on where you can learn more. If you’re already familiar with the idea you can usually skip over these, but for those that aren’t it will be a great learning experience. Look for the primers later this week!
